Blue Ribbon RV Inspection & Services LLC

Are you considering upgrading your RV or getting ready to hit the highway for a road trip? Before you leave, make sure that you have all your RV essentials on board to keep things running smoothly. We’ve compiled this handy checklist of must-haves so that you can prepare before hitting the road.

1. RV Essentials: Bathroom Supplies

You don’t want to be stuck in a smelly bathroom situation. It’s essential to keep your RV toilet running correctly, and that means stocking up on toilet chemicals like formaldehyde-free holding tank deodorant, formaldehyde-free drop-ins, enzyme waste digester, and toilet paper.

2. Flashlight

Be sure to keep a sturdy flashlight handy so that you can find your way in the dark. It will be helpful for finding things at night and also great for checking the lights or hookups on your RV.

3. Water Hose

Always keep a long, quality water hose with you when traveling in your RV, as it will be essential for hooking up to water sources or cleaning off debris that may accumulate on the outside of your vehicle.

4. Levelers and Chocks are RV Essentials

These tools will help you level your RV so it’s not sitting at an awkward angle. Not only will this provide a more comfortable experience for you and your guests, but it also prevents unnecessary strain on the vehicle.

5. Sewer Hose

You’ll need this to drain your RV’s waste tank. Be sure to check the size of your holding tanks and purchase a long enough hose to reach them.

6. Battery Charger

Make sure you have a battery charger on board to keep your vehicle’s battery running smoothly. A multimeter is also an excellent tool for checking your RV’s battery levels and other electrical components.

7. Spare Tire

Nobody wants to be stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire. Make sure you have a spare tire and the necessary tools (and skills!) to change a tire while out on the road.

8. RV Essentials: First Aid Kit

Having a first aid kit on board is always a good idea. You never know when you or one of your passengers will need medical attention. Be sure to include the basics, such as bandages, antiseptic wipes, and pain relievers.

By keeping these RV essentials in your vehicle, you are sure to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Always check your supplies before leaving on any trip and replenish them as needed so you’ll be prepared when you’re on the road.
